I have spent 22 years managing this crazy media business. I have spent considerable time creating new revenue streams, developing new audiences, crafting new ventures, creating new events, and managing many good people through some challenging times. It has been a labor of love, and I am not ready to give it up just yet. I have found some unbelievable success over the years, and I can't wait to share what I have learned.
Navigating today’s digital media, managing a changing workforce landscape, and working your way through all the difficult operational efficiencies needed to succeed in today's business world is frustrating. One of the most difficult things to do in business is to manage short-term success with long-term planning. How can you build for the future while staying afloat next month? I have spent the last 10 years managing in this exact environment. Creating quick, innovative revenue streams, manage difficult short-term expense challenges, and get the right people on staff to ensure long term success.
I believe three things drive success in any business: one, your people. Pretty simple concept, really, and you’ve heard it a thousand times...you are only as good as your best employees. I truly believe this is 100% true. Surround yourself with really talented and genuinely good people, and the rest will work itself out. Two, focus on your customer. Today’s consumer has unlimited access to information, and they know what they need. Staying connected to them, asking what they want and need, and then spend all your time making it happen will lead to a successful partnership. Three, you need to stay innovative. I don’t care what business you are in; doing new and innovative things is essential to any successful business. Please take what you do best and find new ways to capitalize on it. This goes for creating new revenue opportunities, finding some new and innovative ways to save on expenses, or finding a new audience you can capture.
I look forward to learning about your business and finding you a path to success.
